Aguacates

Sculpture collection

The use of stucco

coatings in religious sculpture has been common and continuous in most of the ancient civilizations. Stucco is a coating made out of a material mixture based on lime stone.

The cochineal deep red is an animal origin pigment. Añil (or indigo blue) is a vegetal origin pigment. Both come from central Mexico. Their uses extend in painting, textiles, sculptures, murals and food since a few thousand years.

The AGUACATES collection earn this name because of the shape, the fluted finish and the colorful and creamy interior which characterize all the pieces; common to certain endemic varieties of this fruit.
